Website audit

Audit your website and get one report you can act on

An audit is not a score. It is an inventory of what is wrong, ordered by what to do first, with enough evidence attached that someone else can verify each point. VeriFixScan produces that inventory automatically, across the whole crawled site rather than one URL at a time.

What a complete website audit covers

The audit runs every applicable check across 25 categories — among them SEO, availability, performance, accessibility, mobile, images, content, structure, transport, DNS, infrastructure and privacy. Nothing is bolted on per category: it is one crawl, and every check reads from the same collected evidence, which is what stops two parts of a report from contradicting each other.

Every finding carries its proof

A finding names the pages affected, the observation that triggered it, why it matters and what to change. When a check cannot reach a conclusion — a resource outside the scan budget, a page the site refused — it is reported as not verifiable and kept apart from the failures. That distinction is what makes the total trustworthy.

What it means to analyze your website, not just measure it

Before anything is judged, the site is classified from signals the crawl really found: URL paths, schema.org types, navigation wording, the forms present, the technologies detected and the metadata. No AI is involved in that step, and when nothing reaches the confidence floor the site is reported as unknown or mixed rather than guessed at. What follows from it is the part that matters — categories the site has no use for are excluded from the score instead of being scored zero, so a brochure site is never judged on a checkout it does not have.

What the report is made of

Findings are bucketed rather than listed flat: what failed and needs action, what works but could be better, what only a real browser session can settle, and what genuinely passed. Anything that could not be judged is kept in its own bucket and never quietly counted as a pass. Six scores sit on top — overall, SEO, performance, accessibility, security and links — each shown next to the coverage it was computed from, so a number is never read without knowing how much of the site it rests on.

Priority, not just volume

Findings carry impact, urgency and difficulty, so a report of two hundred items still tells you which five to fix this week. A long list sorted by nothing is a reason not to start.

One-off audit or continuous

You can buy a single complete audit when you need a snapshot — before a launch, before handing a site to a client, or after a migration. A subscription is for auditing repeatedly and watching whether the same problems come back.

What an automated audit reports on

A sample from across the audit, each one a check that really runs. The full audit is considerably wider than this list.

  • Canonical URL

    Pages declare a canonical URL.

  • Duplicate content

Compares the normalised text of the analysed pages and separates real duplication from legitimate similarity.

  • Availability classification

Classifies the entry response: accessible, maintenance, server error, DNS/TLS failure, timeout or redirect loop.

  • Observable page weight

Total transfer weight really observed: HTML plus every measured resource.

  • Semantic landmarks

Presence of the document landmarks screen readers navigate with.

  • Navigation quality (UX)

Depth, orphan candidates, breadcrumbs and return-to-home paths.

  • TLS certificate details

    Certificate issuer, expiry and chain.

  • Hosting / edge provider

Provider answering publicly, merged from headers, DNS, ASN and technology detection.

  • Detected technologies

Technologies identified from real response fingerprints.

The audit reports what is observable from outside your site. It does not read your server logs, your database or your source code, and it is not a security penetration test.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in a full website audit?
Every applicable check across the 25 categories, run on the pages the crawl reached, with findings ranked by impact and urgency.
Can I audit a website without an account?
The free scan gives you a sample of the findings without signing up. A complete audit of the whole site requires a plan or a one-off purchase.
Can I audit a client's website?
Yes, as long as you are authorised to analyse it. The crawler is read-only and rate-limited, and it honours the site's robots directives.
What does the audit report actually contain?
Six scores out of 100 with the coverage behind each, then the findings themselves: what failed, what is improvable, what passed, and what could not be verified — each with the pages it was observed on and the evidence that produced it.
Can I download the report or send it to someone?
Both. The report exports to PDF, rendered from the same scan data as the page rather than recomputed, and in the language you read it in. It can also be opened through a read-only link, so a client or a developer sees the findings without needing an account.
Is there a separate SEO report inside the audit?
The SEO findings and the SEO score are their own part of the same report, so you can hand a developer the SEO section without exporting everything. It is one crawl and one document, not a second audit run for each category.
Can I analyze a single web page instead of the whole site?
The crawl works across the site, but every page it reads keeps its own record: status, response time, title, meta description, canonical, robots meta, declared language, headings and images missing an alternative. Findings name the pages they were observed on, so a single page's analysis is there inside the site-wide one.
How is this different from a website checker?
The same engine. A checker answers 'is anything wrong'; an audit is the full inventory across every category, meant to be read, shared and worked through.
Is the audit automated?
Yes. The crawl, the measurements and the checks are automated, and the findings are then explained with AI analysis of the data that was actually captured.
